In Doncaster, we’re making it easier and more convenient for you to access primary care services.
Many people use their mobile phone and electronic devices on the go to look up information, make reservations and purchase goods. This is why we are following the same trend and making as many local health services accessible and bookable online.
There’s a range of digital and online services available to all patients in Doncaster – but some of these services are less widely known compared with others. An example is the Doncaster Choose Well app – providing information, advice and details of all primary care services available in Doncaster.
This is one of the key reasons why the Doncaster Primary Care campaign includes an important theme on making the best use of digital tools, platforms and apps.

This tool will direct you to the most appropriate care, which could be either self-care, pharmacies, or in urgent cases 999, or a GP appointment if appropriate.
Online consultations will make it even easier for you to access the right local primary care services.
We’re also making it even easier for you to choose the right service, working towards a single preferred app for primary care services in Doncaster. Until then, download the Doncaster Choose Well app – providing all you need to know about local health and care services.
