Doncaster is getting ready to celebrate this year’s Dementia Action Week with a collection of entertaining and informative events..
Organisers are putting the final touches to 16 wide ranging activities, which are set to take place in the borough between Monday 21 May and Sunday 27 May, 2018.
They include a charity golf day at Wheatley, a rendition of old time songs at Rossington, a showing of dementia friendly films at the town’s CAST theatre, and presentation of the annual Doncaster Dementia Awards by former professional footballer John Stiles.

Dr David Crichton, Chair of NHS Doncaster Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “While Doncaster has made good progress in diagnosing people with dementia and offering support to patients and their families, I welcome the planned events to ensure we continue to raise awareness and keep identifying those people who have memory problems and provide them with the best possible care.”
