The new web space has been designed to be as user-friendly as possible, while providing important information about the organisation’s activities as well as local services such as GPs, pharmacies and hospitals.
The website has been designed to give visitors the best browsing experience possible. Most information is just one or two clicks away, with an emphasis on graphics and images to give the page a slick and modern feel.
New features such as ‘Talking Points’ on the homepage have also been introduced to encourage local people to get actively involved in the commissioning process and share their experience and ideas.
And it’s now even easier to access and follow the CCG’s Facebook, YouTube, Flickr and Twitter accounts with a live feed to the latter featured on the site’s homepage.
People can also get a glimpse of board members, board papers and minutes from the CCG meetings are available to access online.
Doncaster CCG is responsible for 330,000 people in the borough and has a commissioning budget of over £400 million. It represents 43 GP practices and pays for, and monitors, health services in the town.
