How can I reduce my risk of dementia?

Launched during the current Dementia Awareness Week, the eight page How can I reduce my risk of dementia? is packed full of lifestyle advice, including guidance on exercise, which foods to eat, maintaining a healthy weight and much more.

Wayne Goddard, who is responsible for organising dementia services for NHS Doncaster Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Doncaster Council, said: “Many people worry about developing dementia, particularly if they have a close relative with the condition. This leaflet provides advice on the steps you can take to reduce your risk or delay the onset of dementia.”

It has been produced for the Doncaster Dementia Strategic Partnership and Doncaster Dementia Action Alliance, the two local groups that are spearheading’s the borough’s drive to become Dementia Friendly.
