Please join us on Thursday 12 December, 2019 at 5.30pm at Doncaster Minster for a special Christmas Carol Service to give thanks for the NHS.
This event is open to anyone and everyone who wants to attend and say a special ‘thank you’ to the NHS in Doncaster, including NHS staff and volunteers, GPs, patients, members of the public and local voluntary and community organisations. This is a free service and open to everyone, including families and children. There will be readings, carols and music. Singing carols and re-telling the Christmas story is an uplifting way to start the festive season and we hope as many people as possible will come along and fill the Minster to enjoy some seasonal cheer.
We are particularly keen to involve our GP surgery staff and members of our Patient Participation Groups (PPGs). Therefore, we will be very pleased if you can display the attached poster and share this invitation widely, thank you.
There will be a collection for the work the Minster does supporting members of Doncaster’s homeless community at Christmas. You are also invited to bring new socks, men’s underwear and toiletries with you to the Minster for this work.
This service has been organised by the town’s three NHS organisations: NHS Doncaster Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (DBTH) and Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH). Doors open at 5pm and there is no need to book. We do hope you will be able to attend this very special service to give thanks for the NHS in Doncaster and enjoy the Christmas story.
Doncaster Minster is located on Church Way, Doncaster, DN1 1RD, near the A630 on Trafford Way. Parking is available at several local points, including Market Place, St George’s and Friar Gate. The Frenchgate Centre will be open until 8pm for those who want to combine attending the service with some late night Christmas shopping.
