CCG launches digital edition of first yearbook

DCCGYearbook2014-page-001-4Doncaster Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has launched a digital copy of its first yearbook, a thirteen-page snapshot of some of the key work of the organisation throughout 2014.

The yearbook showcases the CCG’s public awareness campaigns, health projects, and patient stories in one easy read document, which is physically available in each GP practice in the borough, as well as now being available to download online.

Each month, the CCG holds its Governing Body Meeting to discuss the organisation’s on-going performance. Each meeting starts with a story from a Doncaster resident about their healthcare experiences, both positive and negative.

In 2014, the CCG heard 10 patient stories which feature in the Yearbook pictorially with a brief description of the account and the learning or improvements made in response.

Alongside this, the book features vibrant photos of health campaigns that ran throughout the year, such as the launch of the CCG’s ‘Choose Well’ iPhone app and the trio of cancer awareness campaigns developed in partnership with Doncaster Rovers.

Dr Nick Tupper, chair of the CCG, said: “We’re very proud of the work that the CCG has done over the past year and the yearbook gives us a great opportunity to showcase some of the things we have been actively involved in across Doncaster.

“It’s also important that we take the time as an organisation to thank those patients who came in and shared their stories. Their accounts are invaluable to the CCG and actively improve the way we commission and deliver services in the town. This yearbook is just one small way we can say ‘thank you’ for taking the time to speak to us.”

The yearbook is available to download here and can be found in your local GP surgery in a hardback edition.
