Nursing Associates in Primary Care
Nursing Associates have a key role in to General Practice, showcasing the uniqueness and diversity of this newly registered role in nursing. Nursing Associates are a relatively new route into nursing and bridges the gap between the role of a Health Care Assistant and registered nurse.
A new video, produced by Health Education England highlights the nature and breadth of the learning and experience across all four fields of nursing, the entire lifespan from pre-conception to death that the trainees experience during their placements which include the three areas of care delivery: at home, closer to home and in hospital.
The video also demonstrates the positive impact on teams and patient care with the on going opportunities for future development following registration.
Further information about the role of Nursing Associates and specifically their importance in general practice can be found on the Health Education England website.
