When it comes to providing top quality care, a Doncaster GP practice has found the right prescription for its 7,600 patients.
After carrying out a routine on-site inspection, Government health watchdog the Care Quality Commission (CQC) has awarded the care provided by Bentley Surgery its highest possible rating.
CQC inspectors judged the practice on six important areas, including how staff care for older patients; people with long-term health problems; and those experiencing poor metal health.
They gave the High Street surgery a clean bill of health, awarding nothing less than ‘good’ in 30 separate assessments and an overall rating of ‘outstanding’.
Dr Karen Forshaw, the practice’s GP lead for CQC, said: “Everyone who works at Bentley Surgery strives to provide the best possible care in a positive, respectful environment and we think our CQC rating confirms we are achieving this.
“We are both delighted and proud to be assessed to this standard.”
Bentley Surgery currently becomes the fourth of Doncaster’s 43 GP practices to have an outstanding rating from the CQC.
Practice staff are pictured celebrating their success.
